White Lake Michigan

Whitehall hugs the banks of White Lake, which empties into Lake Michigan.

Whitehall’s premier bed and breakfast inns invite you to stay with them when you attend the White Lake Maritime Festival this weekend, August 11 -13. Billed as a “nautical and nice” celebration, the festival kicks off on August 11 with a Community Picnic at 6 p.m. under the big tent. From 4 to midnight on Friday and from 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, enjoy a range of activities from a shuffleboard tournament to a sailing regatta, trout pond, shrimp boil, fish boil, Venetian Boat Parade, live entertainment, music and food.

Walk to all the activities from White Swan Inn B&B, A Finch Nest B&B or Cocoa Cottage B&B. Each is clean and comfortable with its own distinctive style from Bungalow to Victorian. Cocoa Cottage is noted for its signature chocolate and A Finch Nest for its signature coffee. White Swan offers sunset cruises on its private charter. All three are regularly inspected for more than 100 points of safety, comfort, cleanliness and professionalism by the Michigan Lake to Lake B&B Association.
