Romeo
This Macomb County village was once called Hoxie Settlement. In 1831 a group of immigrants traveled from New York and settled here in Romeo, Michigan. Soon, in 1834, the Ridge Road was laid out, and became part of the immigration road from Port Huron to Romeo. It was about this time that mail delivery began in the area. Sure, travelers can still pass through Romeo on their way to another part of the state—or they can choose to settle in for a night or two at an enchanting Bed and Breakfast. Our innkeepers are ready and waiting to make your stay as comfortable as possible in these quaint accommodations. Did you bring your clubs? You’ll want to keep up your golf game at the Bruce Hills Golf Course, or maybe the Heather Hills Golf Club. Orchards and cider everywhere! There’s Hy’s Cider Mill, Stony Creek Orchard and Cider Mill, Verellen Orchards, and the Westview Orchards & Cider Mill. Ready for a bite of lunch? Stop in at Thee Office Pub and Cookery, and then check out Gabriel’s Garden Lavender & Herb Farm, and Kane’s Town Hall Antiques. If you’re ready to connect with nature, the gates at Mill Metropark and Stony Creek Metropark are wide open. Come on in!
