Bois Blanc Island

Have you been searching for a truly unique destination? Look no further than Bois Blanc Island in the straits of Mackinac. With views of the Mackinac Bridge, Bois Blanc Island, known as "Bob-lo" to area residents, is twelve miles long, six miles wide and has six lakes. Accessible by ferry from Cheboygan you’ll enter a paradise of quiet, natural wonder. Wildlife, lakeviews and an undeveloped landscape cover much of this state-owned forest land containing White and Norway pines that tower over two hundred feet tall. While on the island canoe, kayak, mountain bike miles & miles of two-tracks, fish (the inland lakes are said to have good bass & blue gill, the big lake has salmon), hike swim, watching freighters, sailboats & yachts drift by. The magic is endless in this out of the way paradise.
