| The Cheboygan area offers all of the delights of Northern Michigan!
Cheboygan is located approximately 16 miles southeast along the coast of
Lake Huron from the Mackinac Bridge. Situated at the mouth of the
Cheboygan River, it is the gateway to an inland chain of lakes. From
there, it is possible to travel by boat over 50 miles to Mullett, Burt
and Black Lakes. With the river such a popular place for boaters,
Cheboygan has several marinas, a lighthouse, beach and drawbridge. A
four seasons destination, boating, fishing, dining, shopping, lodging,
hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, hunting can all be
found here!
The Black Mountain Recreation Area has groomed and ungroomed trails for
beginners, intermediates and advanced skaters and gliders. Snowmobilers
return to the Cheboygann area year after year and with good reason: more
than 500 miles of groomed trails provide days and days of delightful
adventures.
Downhill skiing is just 45 minutes away at Nub's Nob and Boyne
Highlands. If ice skating is your passion Cheboygan's indoor Ice
Pavilion provides men's, women's, and children's hockey leagues as well
as open skating hours. Skates are available for rent. |
