A Night To Remember Bed & Breakfast - Lexington, MichiganSoutheast RegionLocated on the southern thoroughfare to town, this stately Victorian with its eye-catching surrounding landscaping attracts the attention of residents and visitors alike. Featuring a pond and landscape accents, the sculpted 1.375 acre yard beckons to B&B guests and customers alike to roam about after shopping or while savoring an ice cream cone. Part of a four building complex with three operating businesses, the home contains a four (4) Guest Room B&B and a portion of the retail business. Another retail building (former garage) is located at the back of the parking lot, adjacent to the main building. While guests enter through the front door, retail customers find the B&B’s retail shop via the side entrance off the parking lot. Also on the first floor are two guest rooms - one with a huge stone fireplace and the other with its own deck. As with all the guest rooms, each has its own unique theme and bathroom. A guest commons area for relaxing and dining completes the final portion of the main floor of the B&B. This latter area features an all-new “shabby chic” décor, a graceful chandelier, fireplace and high, glass windows of the Victorian’s original late 1800's creation. From the entryway a graceful, curved wooden banister / staircase leads to the second floor hallway and two more guest rooms, one at the front of the B&B, and the other at the rear. Owners Quarters (OQ) are also located on this second level, with a large master bedroom with private bathroom (the fifth BR/bath combination of the home), plus a kitchen and laundry area that the current owners make available to guests. While listed square footage of the home is about 3850, this does not include the unfinished third level. Here a large area provides options for another Guest Room (loft suite), an expanded OQ (which also frees up the OQ-BR for another GR on the second floor), another guest commons area, storage or … use imagination!

Park House Inn - Saugatuck, MichiganSouthwest RegionPark House Inn B&B 10 GRs – 1 OQ BR Kim A. Wahtera Saugatuck $1,375,000.00 (734) 757-8156 SW Region Owner Financing Available (734) 612-7866 Cell
Peaceful, historic, 9-room Inn with optional cottage is available in Western Michigan beach locale frequented by Chicago-area residents and Michiganders alike. Once the family home of an area magnate, this Inn was originally built in 1857, with the surrounding area developed in park-like fashion. It was modified in 1987 to re-purpose the structure to that of an active Inn, and to expand it to its current 4500 square feet, while still maintaining its unique and authentic look, and retaining its 1984 historic property designation. While most of the gardens are long gone, sold as adjacent lots, this quiet Inn still has a screened back porch that looks out over a 25 year perennial garden – extending the tranquility of the Inn’s inside to the outside. This Inn also offers parking for each of its guests, a nicety not readily available in a town that teems with visitors, especially during the summer tourist season, or when a special event – like the town hosting its annual film festival – is in progress. Upon entering the Inn, one is immediately drawn to the original Heart Pine flooring and the comfortable feel of the period furnishings. A dining room with its associated Guest Refreshment Area is directly ahead of the entrance area, with stairs to the second level on the left and a parlor off to the right. Screened porch access is via the parlor. Information on the Inn, local area, things-to-do and local items for sale are also conveniently located in the entrance room. Owners’ Quarters (OQ) are located in the expanded portion of the first level, with the kitchen situated between the dining room and OQ. These quarters are comprised of a bedroom, living /dining room combination, wood burning fireplace and a private bath with shower stall. Behind the Inn there is a private, fenced rear yard with patio area, currently reserved for the owner. Two Guest Rooms are on the first level, one named for a daughter of the original owner (with private hot tub on an adjacent porch) and the other in honor of Susan B. Anthony, who both visited and stayed at the home (also with private hot tub/porch). This latter room is accessible to those with physical limitations, thus making this Inn the only B&B in town which provides an ADA guest accommodation.
With its 4500 square feet on three levels, the entire second level is devoted to Guest accommodations that are roomy, and, like every other Inn room, include an ensuite bathroom. Additionally, all rooms have a fireplace (gas or electric), while two have jetted tubs. All of the guest rooms – and the public areas – have been redecorated in the past six (6) years. On the third level is a full suite, comprised of a living area with fireplace, two bedrooms and a full bathroom. This provides an ideal set-up for couples or families who are traveling together and families with children. This cozy area is secluded and away from the “traffic” of other guest areas. An optional cottage is being leased by the current owners, and this lease may also be transferred to new ownership. This cottage is located behind the fenced-in Owner’s Area to the rear/side of the Inn, and provides an ideal area to put families with small or active children, those with difficulty climbing stairs, guests with a dog or those whose simply wish to be apart from the other guests. This cottage has its own bedroom, a living area with sofa bed, kitchen and outside hot tub. Owners Quarters & kitchen photos will be available in the future, so be sure to ask about them, even if they are not posted on the website. Future owners will be pleased to know that regular, on-going maintenance is scheduled & conducted, keeping the Inn in tip-top shape. Some of the maintenance worth noting includes:
Currently operated year-around, this area and the Inn provide the opportunity to either remain open all year, or work to generate a prime season revenue that will sustain owners and enable the closing of the Inn during the winter season. It should also be noted that property values are extremely high in this area, with an adjacent ranch-style home for sale with an asking price of $2 million (frontage on the river).
This Michigan historic Inn is offered for sale as a turn-key operation at $1,375,000. Guest rooms 9 with private bath; 10 with optional leased cottage Built in 1857 Open since 1983 Square Footage 4500 (approximately 5000 with the cottage) Restaurant No Historic Yes – Designated (US & Michigan) Owner Financing Yes (based upon prospect qualifications)
