Captain's Quarters Inn
The Captain's Quarters Inn is located in the "Thumb" region of Michigan. The CQI is in beautiful downtown Victorian Lexington which is on the shore of Lake Huron. The Inn was built in 1859 and is on the State and National Registers. The former governor of Michigan, Albert Sleeper, and his wife, Mary Moore Sleeper, enjoyed the home as their summer home and spend many warm evenings relaxing on the wrap around porch.
The bed and breakfast is a short stroll to the harbor, marinas, beach, tennis courts, shopping, concerts in lakeside harbor park every Friday night all July and August and the Lexington Music Theater Company. It is also short distance away is a fine 36 hole golf course and a new winery.
You can hire the Captain to take you fishing on Lake Huron. Other activities available in the area are boating, swimming, biking, apple picking, Christmas tree cutting, antique shopping, and craft and art fairs. You may choose one of these or you could just sit and relax on our wrap around porch and forget your cares.
For those hot summer days, the Captain's Quarters Inn is equipped with central air conditioning. Most rooms have fireplaces for those cool fall and spring nights.
Complementary wireless Internet service is available to all guests and the Captain's Quarters Inn accepts Visa and Master Card.
In the morning you will be greeted with a full homemade breakfast made by the captain when he is not fishing. Breakfast is served usually between 8AM and 10AM and be sure to let us know about any special
diets and food allergies.
Genealogy stays are available where your innkeeper, Pat, will refer guests to genealogists in the area who can help and will assist setting up appointments for research.
The Captain's Quarters Inn is one of the friendliest and comfortable Bed and Breakfasts in the area. If we cannot accommodate you we will refer you to other accommodations in the area.
