Everything was first rate--the beautifully restored historic home, the furnishings, the linens, and the countless delightful details that made our stay comfortable, relaxing and special. SuzyPTRuth and Herb were wonderful innkeepers, they were so helpful, and friendly. They helped us with planning our days, gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner and served wonderful food. I booked our trip 3 months prior, when they were running a free dinner at the inn. I had completely forgotten about it, and Ruth reminded me and Herb cooked a wonderful dinner. We got to sit by a picture window and enjoy the beautiful winter night. I can't wait to go back in the spring and summer to enjoy the Michigan countryside.

BbuckleyOur weekend was amazing. The food that was prepared for breakfast was much better than any restaurant could offer. All the commodities and little touches are what made the Castle in the Country very special. Each room was beautiful and unique. We will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

T wolford-longWe had our wedding at Castle in the Country in December 2005, and every single element of our and our guests' experience was beautiful. Ruth and Herb leave no detail unattended. We stayed for three nights, and it was wonderful. We returned for our 1st wedding anniversary in December 2006 and it was better than we remembered. We are returning again this December (and every year) for our anniversary. It's a peaceful oasis...a real getaway from the stresses of life, and you truly leave feeling refreshed. You just won't find a better B&B than this one.
