This is the nicest B&B that we have ever visited. Everything was first rate--the beautifully restored historic home, the furnishings, the linens, and the countless delightful details that made our stay comfortable, relaxing and special. Ruth and Herb were wonderful innkeepers, they were so helpful, and friendly. They helped us with planning our days, gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner and served wonderful food. I booked our trip 3 months prior, when they were running a free dinner at the inn. I had completely forgotten about it, and Ruth reminded me and Herb cooked a wonderful dinner. We got to sit by a picture window and enjoy the beautiful winter night. I can't wait to go back in the spring and summer to enjoy the Michigan countryside. - Bbuckley - 01/25/2009
Our weekend was amazing. The food that was prepared for breakfast was much better than any restaurant could offer. All the commodities and little touches are what made the Castle in the Country very special. Each room was beautiful and unique.
