Stafford House Bed & Breakfast

Stafford House Inn is located in the quaint village of Port Hope, on the sunrise side of the thumb.  We are less then 1/2 mild from lovely Lake Huron.  Lake breezes keep us cool and refreshed on a hot summer day.  But our rooms are air conditioned for that occasional hot day.  We are part of the Heritage Water Trail for canoes and kayaks.  You can bring your own or rent one nearby,  We are also on a bike path route that extends from Harbor Beach to Port Austin.  We have bikes for your use, or you can bring your own.  We have a shed where they can be safely stored. There are lovely beaches nearby, antique shops, and interesting places to walk and explore.  We are 7 miles from 2 lighthouses, Point aux Barques and Harbor Beach light. Port Austin has a wonderful Farmer's Market every Saturday morning in the summer and fall. There is a horseback riding stable nearby and several golf courses, including a driving range within 2 miles from us. There are many nice restaurants in Huron County. You can find a local festival almost any weekend in the summer and fall.

In our inn, enjoy a relaxing, cozy stay.  Our parlor has a fireplace to rest by on a cold winter day.  We also have a variety of books and games for your entertainment.  We have a microwave and refrigerator upstairs for your use, with complimentary microwave popcorn, bottled water, and coffee and tea available. We serve a full breakfast, and try to accommodate special dietary needs.  Please let us know ahead of time if you have a special request.  We want to make your stay with us as pleasant as possible and will be happy to answer any questions.  Please ask.
