Labelle de la Riviere means the "the beauty of the river" and we have many ways to enjoy our 4 season river valley. There is sport fishing in the spring and fall for steelhead, trout, & salmon with guide service available. Canoe & kayak lessons and river rentals for tubes,canoes, and kayaks are just downtown. The fall color will please any camera buff. We have antique shops, curio shops, pottery classes, and knitting & quilting opportunities. Our quaint coffee shop is where you can get caught up on area news. The North Country Trail Head is close by for hikers and there are many cross country trails in the Manistee Forest just a few miles down the road for bikers, snowmobilers, and skiers.

I can't imagine a more relaxing way to spend an afternoon than a cruise down the Grand River on Grandville's own "Grand Lady Riverboat". Many festivals and concerts take place at Veterans Park including Rockin on the River, the Pig Gig and the Michigan Jazz Trail Festival. The Riverfront Grill and Kingfish offer waterfront dining. You won't have to worry about parking. All of this is within walking distance of the Webster House!

The Sheridan House is located on the 800-acre Fremont Lake. Here you will find boats fishing for walleye, bass, perch and other fish to make your day.
The Muskegon River and White River are within 15 minutes of the inn. Fishing, tubing, kayaking, and tubing are always popular activities on these rivers.
In addition, there are many other lakes, along with the backwaters of the Croton Dam and Hardy Dam within just a short drive.

Would you like to get out on Lake Huron or the St. Clair River during a summer stay at Adventure Inn? How about a sailing lesson? We can help. First, our co-owner is a licensed captain and experienced Great Lakes and ocean sailor (Google "Nicholas DeGrazia +sailing"). Second, our "fleet" ranges from a paddle boat and canoe and up from there. We love to share it all. Adventure Inn is located on the Lake Huron shore halfway between Lexington, a cute resort town, and Port Huron, whose Blue Water Bridge can take to Ontario and beyond. A year-round favorite destination of our guests is the Great Lakes Maritime Center at Vantage Point in Port Huron. Terrific freighter-watching venue and more.

Lake Michigan is one of the most beautiful and accessible of the Great Lakes, and Serendipity Bed and Breakfast in downtown Saugatuck is only a stone's throw away from the "Big Lake", as Lake Michigan is known. If you look out the front window of Serendipity you can see the waterfront and the boat slips on the Kalamazoo River. Boaters (both power and sail) only need to travel a few minutes down the river to Lake Michigan.

You may charter a fishing boat and crew from Big Lake Outfitters (only a few walking blocks from Serendipity) for that perfect guided trip onto the Lake. We have arranged discounts with Big Lake Outfitters on several of their boats for guests of Serendipity.
