Union is in Southwest Michigan, just over the Indiana state line. It is about 30 minutes from South Bend, Indiana and the University of Notre Dame. Visiting the Studebaker Museum is likely to inspire a scenic drive, and the Michigan Shore Wine Trail makes an excellent day trip from a Union Michigan bed and breakfast. Pick up fixings for a picnic along the way, for many of Michigan wineries have lovely areas in which to enjoy a bite to eat. Taste Michigan wines and pick out a few favorites to take back home.

While on the road, stop by the St. Joseph North Pier Light, between North Beach and Silver Beach. This Michigan Lighthouse features two lights - an octagonal one and a cylindrical one - out on a pier. It is possible to walk the pier and visit these Michigan Lighthouses unless the weather is quite poor.
